Scripture tells us to remember those in prison, and we at Cornerstone have taken that to heart. We participate in the Coalition of Churches in Prison Ministry, which ministers to prisoners in the East Texas area. We periodically visit prisons where we share the gospel and do a worship service with our choir and band. Our main project throughout the year is the “Gift of Light” Bags that are given to thousands of prisoners at Christmas. All are invited to help decorate these bags throughout the year that are then filled with the gift of fruit, candy, toiletries, and a tract for each prisoner.
